Rumi seeking quote w tag

There are few things in life more satisfying than achieving a long-held goal. It’s empowering, and also a relief, to see that we can get ourselves where we want to go. People like to say that it’s the journey, not the destination, that matters, but that journey can really put you through the ringer sometimes. This quote from Rumi is a nice reminder that even when the path seems like it isn’t taking you anywhere, it is. In mindfulness, we work more with “intentions” than a focus on goals, with the difference being that you sit with an intention, while you effort towards a goal. Both are important, and are especially powerful in combination. Even when your effort doesn’t seem to be paying off, it may still be, but also, your intention in the same direction may be keeping things moving along. Even more, that destination may be trying to find you right back.

Have an intentional week.
