Monday Moment: Scaling up

Zinn Small Acts quote w tag

Morning! A little wisdom here to get us started on this Monday, a day of the week when even small acts can seem big in terms of effort. Beyond your own schedule, the world gives us enough reason to feel overwhelmed these days. It’s easy to look around and feel like you can’t make a dent in its problems. But, I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the power of collective intention, and the potential for even small everyday choices to make an impact on the greater whole. Choose to be kind to someone who irritates you, to be patient with a process you can’t control, to engage with a loved one instead of checking out with a distraction. All of these choices can make the people around you feel more valued, which in turn empowers them to spread the light, creating a ripple effect of good stuff.  Our everyday choices do matter, and they can make a difference. Don’t give up the power you have to contribute to making big things happen for the better. You don’t even need a megaphone or a sign; you just need your attention, an intention, and your breath.
