In a previous post, I once shared an Emerson quote about bravery that implied that courage isn’t necessarily an exceptional trait, but that the bravest among us are those who simply maintain it “five minutes longer.” On this blog, we talk a lot about making intentional choices, especially in the face of discomfort. Today in the US, we honor those we have done just that, and sacrificed not only their comfort so that the rest of us may have it in abundance.
