No-Fail Friday: Heavy lifting


Is it me, or has it been a little heavy around here lately? From goals, to personal mission, meaningful work, and even social injustice, we’ve been doing some deep-end diving around here. This week in particular, we talked about the ways in which mindfulness is being incorporated into the training of future global business leaders at a top US business school – one of several campus initiatives we’ve covered recently.  These are all really important topics, and are indicative of the scope of impact a little mindful perspective can have in so many areas of our lives.

Meaning what


You’ve probably been hearing it for years. Find your passion. Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life. Live your purpose – and so on. And who doesn’t want to feel that way, right? Who doesn’t want to wake up every morning filled with the sense that everything you’re about to spend your day doing will be personally meaningful and make a worthwhile impact in the world? It’s a lot of pressure, though, to feel like you have to find “that thing” that will make you bounce out of bed, filled with happiness, ready for a day in which your work feels like play.
